Ravel was busy typing away at a document. A way to organize all the information as well as her thoughts surrounding her recent excursion to several used car dealerships. What she found oddly disconcerting was that all the numbers were very much within her reach. Only a few weeks, maybe two months, of saving with her current income and she would be there. It should have been something that made her glad, but instead she had an odd feeling of dread. Getting a car had a lot of things that came with it. It meant a large down payment, a new monthly payment to keep up with, something else to keep regular maintenance on. More than that it symbolized something. A mix of freedom and obligation. It meant that Bandsy, despite being almost 30 already, felt she was taking the first step into being an adult. Despite all the adult things she did: hold down a job, pay rent on an apartment, pay bills, she felt stuck, like she was a teenager still. The lack of transportation was a big part of that. She was somewhat physically trapped in the nearby area thanks to her lack of transportation. She also felt metaphorically stuck. Stuck in her place in life feeling like there was no escape. A car freed her from that as much as it freed her from her location and it made her an adult. Ravel didn’t know how she felt about that.

Ravel had to push the thoughts away. It was a big step, but one she was overdue in taking. She had a few favorites picked out. Reliable, not too old vehicles, that were reasonably priced. Had payments that she could make even if she had to quite streaming, though it would be tight. Ravel sighed as she saved the document with her notes. With that done she minimized the document. Her screen was a flood of notifications she had been ignoring for some time while she was organizing things. She started with Chaos. A few messages from Micheal and Donna Sue, their recommendations for cars, and one from Theo.

Ravel responded to her friends first and then turned to Theo. She assumed that it was something about the last ad read she did. She had finally read for the last of the printed pull-ups, the Potty Training Princess'. Ravel had a very difficult time calming chat down after that particular ad read, but she had gotten to be something of a pro of brushing these things off. Ravel wasn’t wrong about the intent of the message.

Theo: Just wanted to debrief you from all those ad reads you did. They went over really well, and I wanted to talk to you about them and what comes next.

Bandsy: Yeah, sure. I’ve got time to chat.

Ravel sent the message before noticing that Theo had sent hers a few hours earlier, and likely wouldn’t respond immediately. Ravel decided to take the time to browse through the notifications on her social media while she waited, by the time she had finished Theo had responded.

Theo: Good. Well, it’s all good news. Higher ups loved the ad reads, and there more than eager for you to do more. Though it will be a bit before the next one. We have to figure out what prints we want you to read for next.

Bandsy: That’s great to hear. I’m glad everyone is liking the ad reads. I was worried the reaction of chat might make them reconsider.

Theo: Not at all, quite the opposite actually. They found the interaction cute. Just the kind of thing we were looking for.

Ravel sighed audibly at the response. It was not what she was hoping for. All that effort in fighting the baby accusations was seen as “cute” by the higher ups. To think that she was just falling more and more into that role she was trying so hard not to be was frustrating. She kept that to herself though. Despite how friendly Theo was, she was also the one giving Ravel her checks. Checks she needed even more now that a car payment was looming. It would behoove her to humor Theo and the higher ups she worked for, and being snippy at her for calling her “cute” wasn’t a good way to do that.

Bandsy: Well, that’s not really what I was going for ^^’. Glad they like it though, and I’ll gladly do more as soon as you can get them to me.

Theo: Like I said it will be a bit. Do you still have enough pull-ups from the samples we’ve given you? I can get you some more while you wait.

Ravel stood up and checked her supply. She had actually run out of the Potty Training Princesses, using the last one during her stream. They had strangely become her favorite. She only had one of her second favorite, the Chic Flowers, but the other two were well stocked. There was also a lot more of her go to Discrete pull-ups. A thought in her mind reminded her that Ravel also had the two tape diapers she had been given as well.

Bandsy: I think I’m still good, for a while anyway.

Theo: Good, don’t be afraid to reach out if you need more, and sorry again to make you go without ad money for a while.

Bandsy: I’ll manage.

Theo: Forgive me for being a bit nosy, but I hope we aren’t stopping some big purchase of yours.

Ravel glanced at the monitor strangely. As if the monitor was Theo and Ravel was making a face at the strangely accurate comment she made. It was a little intrusive of a question, but that was probably just her trying to be friendly. She was also great at reading Ravel it seemed. She had successfully gleaned the deeper meaning behind Ravel’s “I’ll manage.” Or perhaps it was a lucky guess. Ravel took a moment to formulate a response.

Bandsy: Well, I have bene looking at cars.

Theo: Oh? Looking to upgrade?

Bandsy: No first car.

Theo: Oh, I didn’t know you didn’t have a car yet. That’s a big step. Exciting!

Bandsy: And a little scary. But yeah, I’ve almost got enough for a down payment.

Theo: How much do you need?

Ravel found herself sending a number over before even thinking about how that was kind of a personal question. She had already sent it though, too late to take it back now.

Theo: I think we might be able to do that.

Bandsy: What?

Theo: I think we can do that for you. I’ll have to talk it over with my boss first.

Bandsy: Wait really?

Theo: It’s going to have to be something a bit more than you’re used to doing for that amount, probably a dedicated sponsored stream or something, but I think that’s something we can get for you. I want you to succeed. We want you to succeed Bandsy, and we want you to succeed through us.

Ravel was taken aback. She didn’t think the conversation would have gone this way when she started it, and she definitely didn’t expect this outcome. Obviously, the whole thing was contingent on what deal Theo came back to her with, but the idea of a few weeks or months of ad reading to save up for a down payment done in a single stream was incredibly appealing. Whatever it was, Ravel was pretty sure she would end up taking it. Given the company she was working with though, she was dreading what the conditions of this would be. Her thoughts went back the Smol Sally stream she had watched. That was one of Stuffie’s sponsored streams, and the last thing Ravel saw in that stream was Smol Sally messing her diaper. Ravel was a little sacred she was about to be asked to do that, and she was more scared that she was considering agreeing to that hypothetical deal.

Bandsy: That’s just … wow I don’t know what to say.

Theo: Whatever it is you might wanna say wait til I talk with my boss and see what she wants you to do. She should be available, gimme like an hour and I’ll what see I can do for you.

Theo couldn’t help but pump her arms in victory. It was as if Rachel had spoken this into existence, the timing couldn’t be better. Now she had her in, but it was important she played it right. Even with her powerful bargaining position it had to be the right offer. It had to be something Bandsy would actually do, and it had to be something that she couldn’t take back once she had done it. Theo had just the thing in mind, already though.

She was already quickly typing away a message to both her direct boss and to Rachel. The one to her direct boss was short and simple because she already knew the response she would get. It was a request to be allotted the amount of money Bandsy needed for her down payment and then some. She knew the response already because Rachel was overseeing this project directly. In this regard she was speaking with Rachel's authority, she knew her boss wouldn’t go against her here.

The second message, the one to Rachel was the more important one, and she hoped Rachel would respond quickly too. The quicker she could hit Bandsy with an offer the more likely she would be to take it without thinking. In this case though Theo was confident that her proposal was a slam dunk.

Theo (Urgent): I have my in. Bandsy is looking to buy a new car, I have already requested approval for the amount of her down payment. I plan to offer it to her contingent to her doing a dedicated sponsor stream. One for the Potty Training Princess pull-ups. On this stream I plan on asking her to wet the pull-up on stream. I don’t want to take this big of a step without your input.

The message was quick, and lacked the usual formality. Much to Theo's delight she already saw the dots that Rachel was typing.

Rachel: I approve.

The simple response was just as informal as the request, but it was all she needed for now. They would likely discuss this in more detail through e-mail later, but for now it was time to strike while the iron was hot. Theo already got the approval from her boss. No doubt Rachel had reached out to him already to move things along as quickly as possible. With everything out of her way, Theo got to work doing what she was supposed to do.

She had considered bringing in her panel, and the fact that she wasn’t would no doubt make a few of them irritable later. Time was of the essence here, and at in this area Theo knew she was an expert.

Theo: Ok you’re probably not going to be crazy about this, but it’s what I got.

Ravel shot back to attention at the message from Theo, though she had been waiting impatiently for it.

Theo: I’ve been approved to send you the full amount, and then some, in exchange for a dedicated sponsor stream. One where you leave the overlay on the whole time and talk a little more about the the products throughout. We can go over the specifics later, but the big thing we need from you here is this: we want you to wet a Potty Training princess live on stream, while showing emphasis on the shape changing wetness indicator.

Ravel grumbled a little. It wasn’t the worst possible outcome she thought of, but it definitely wasn’t good.

Bandsy: That is kind of a lot. Does this need to be soon?

Theo: Soon-ish. Do you have any Potty Training Princesses left?

Bandsy: No.

Theo: Well we’ll have to send you some. So, you’ve got the time it takes for that to get there at least.

Theo: I know it’s kind of a big ask, and I understand that it’s not something you want to do, but I hope you give it some serious thought.

Ravel’s hands faltered over her keyboard. She had to stop herself from not taking the deal immediately. She audibly grunted when she realized what that said about her. She felt like she still should be immediately defaulting to no, but here she was defaulting to yes. Either way she stopped herself to think about it, which was the right thing to do.

Bandsy: Yeah, I’ll definitely have to think about it. It’s not the image I want to have.

Theo: I recognize that. Like I said earlier though. We want you to succeed. I want you to succeed. This is a way I know you will succeed.

Bandsy: It’s just not what I want.

Theo: If I may. I think what you mean is this isn’t *exactly what you want. I think you want to make streaming a full-time job, and to make enough money with it to support yourself. I say that because I’ve met a lot of streamers and that’s what most of them want. Being a diaper streamer, at least embracing it a little bit, is a way to do that. I know you have to sacrifice the image you have in your head for it, but I think everyone has to sacrifice that vision of their potential self in some ways.

Bandsy: Yeah.

Theo: Just think about it, seriously. I know it’s a lot. Either way I’ll still get you more regular ad reads too.

Bandsy: I will. Thanks for the offer regardless, it’s very generous.

Ravel pushed her chair back and spun it around. This offer from Theo just made things way more complicated. It was already giving her a bit of a headache, and she needed to change her pull-up. She had a few days to think about it, which wasn't that long, but it meant she didn’t have to do it right now. It had been a long enough day before her conversation with Theo, and Ravel was well and truly spent.
