“Ok chat we’re taking a little break,” A smaller blonde-haired girl said with a smile to the small hundreds of viewers she had managed to accumulate that night. She was wearing a loosely fitting t-shirt with a cutesy pink haired anime girl on it and some equally lazy sweat pants. The backdrop of her room was hard to see as it was bathed in only a dim light, though what could be illuminated in front of her monitor was somewhat unkempt and shabby much like the girls’ clothes. A professional looking microphone came in from just out of from settling in front of her face, and on the other side of the screen viewers were greeted by a very nice-looking overlay. “I’m actually a little excited because it’s our first sponsor,” The girl says with a chipper smile. She gave a little cough and speaks in an overly official tone.

“This stream is sponsored by Stuffies, and their new pull-up brand the discrete fit. It’s a discrete diaper option for those that are either not into the baby life style or those that are but need an option for when you have to be a big girl. No matter your situation you can count on the discrete fit to be an easy to use and unnoticeable diaper alternative with all the protection you’ve come to expect from stuffies. Thanks again to stuffies for sponsoring the stream,” The girl exhaled after the long, scripted, spiel. She took a drink from a cup of soda and read the rapidly running chat for a bit and as she did a logo for stuffies appeared in a dedicated corner of her overlay.

“Bandsy sold out?” Bandsy read a chat message, and smiled. “Look chat I don’t know what you were thinking but …” Bandsy scooted closer to her microphone for comedic effect “That was always the goal.” She scooted away to read chat some more.

“All right, can you guys not be so weird about this. This is my fist sponsor all right. I know it’s not gamer chips, or rocket pcs, but it’s the sponsor I got ok,” a ting of annoyance was in her voice and she donned a bit of a grumpy look.

“No! No I don’t use them chat!” Bandsy’s face grew flush as she read the accusation in chat. “I haven’t worn pull-ups in a while.” There was another pause or more chats came in, asking just exactly how long ago “a while” was with snide accusations. “Look don’t act like all of you didn’t try pull-ups either. zit was a whole thing a few years ago. I haven’t since then, not that I have a problem with people who do obviously.” Bandsy was clearly trying to walk the fine line between keeping her pride and appeasing her new sponsor.

“No, I haven’t tried them personally,” Bandsy responded defensively to one of the chatters. “But I have it on authority form someone who would try them that Stuffies is a good brand.” There was a pause as the chat speculated on who this source might be, not knowing that the source was mostly made up by Bandsy. In fairness to her she had heard of the brand through a few streamers who did still engage with the diaper fad.

“I’m not saying it is CryBabyCereal, but if it was then she would know what she was talking about,” Bandsy snidely commented at one of the chatters.

“See I knew you guys would be weird about this,” Bandsy pouted. “I doubt they’re gonna come back after this,” Bandsy said under her breathe. She angrily took another drink from her soda. “First sponsor I get and you guys got all weird about it and probably scared them away.” A smirk appeared on Bandsy’s face that showed she really wasn’t that mad.

In truth, she thought that this particular sponsor was just a fluke, that someone at Stuffies messed up and sent out the sponsorship to the wrong person. That was their mistake though, and Bandsy would take advantage of it. The steady income from clark.tv, her go to streaming site, was nothing compared to the money she would get from dedicated sponsors like this, and this was her first one. Whether by accident or not, one sponsor would lead to another, at least that’s what she always heard. Really, she was just using Stuffies for an immediate bit of income and, hopefully, as a way to get her noticed by other potential sponsors.

“All right chat lets just move past it,” Bandsy said getting back into position in front of her monitor. “Thanks to Stuffies for sponsoring this stream now let’s get back to games.”

The stream continued uneventfully, and really, in the grand scheme of things, this out of place sponsor by an adult diaper company wasn’t that eventful either. Just another wacky moment that would be clipped and replayed later.

Unbeknownst to Bandsy or her chat though, this sponsor wasn’t out of place or an accident. There were more than your typical stream viewers watching that night. Bandsy’s stream was being played at Stuffies corporate office. Two executives in business casual clothing were standing behind a third that was sitting in a chair, the stream playing on one of the two monitors at the center of her elaborate hard wood desk.

“What do we think?” The woman standing on the left said hopefully. The woman at the desk and the man standing at her right seemed to be lost in thought.

“I defer to you,” The man said simply.

“It’s your company,” The woman at the desk shot back.

“Well, you picked Theo personally to head up this little experiment,” the man replied positively. “I trust her judgement like I trust yours. You’ve always had a particular interest in Stuffies too, Rachel, I’d hate to rob you of your input.” Rachel grimaced a bit, and looked at Theo.

“You think she has potential?” Rachel asked with a difficult to read tone.

“It will take some work obviously, but so have most of our streamers,” Theo responded.

“I’m just not seeing it,” Rachel answered honestly. “I don’t see what’s so special about her.”

“You had similar reservations about Smol Sally remember,” Theo reminded.

“That was more a question of practicality,” Rachel said sternly. “Are we sure we even need another streamer to sponsor?” Rachel questioned dismissively.

“Four is the ideal number,” Theo explained. “There are a lot of four player co-op games and it also gives us a lot of variety to mix and match in two person streams.” Theo maintained a positive smile at her boss’s stern gaze. After a moment of the tense silence Rachel’s smile returned.

“You seem confident in your choice and you haven’t steered us wrong yet,” Rachel’s mood turned more jovial. “Give her whatever funds she needs John.”

“Ma’am,” John said obediently.

“Don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you need help securing her,” Rachel said closing the stream on her computer

“Yes ma’am,” Theo smiled with pride.

“Keep me updated as well,” Rachel stood up. “I’m eager to see the end of our little streamer project.”
