Chapter 8
Cassidy sighed as she entered her room. She immediately dug into the container of cookies left next to her bed. The peanut butter taste helped make the stress of the day more bearable. She was awaiting something else that would hopefully make the stress of the day better, and she got just that as the communication crystal by the mirror on the dresser glowed. Cassidy eagerly grabbed the thing and cast the activating spell, and her vision was filled with that of a small pitched tent with a standing mirror, reflected in that mirror was Callie.
“Callie,” Cassidy said heartfully.
“Well hey there cutie,” Callie said a little surprised by her girlfriends eagerness. “Long day?”
“Yeah a little bit,” Cassidy said with a blush. “But you’ve probably got it worse you don’t need to hear me complain. How’s it going over there?”
“It’s unreal,” Callie said with a hint of excitement. “This thing is huge. Normally you just have to worry about them like, coming up under your house and messing up your foundation, but this is threatening to make a new mountain”
“Well don’t sound too excited,” Cassidy said concerned.
“I’m sorry it’s just fascinating,” Callie said with glee. “Seeing it happen, or try to happen at least.”
“So you guys are able to take care of it?”
“We’re doing our best,” Callie’s pose shifted and she closed her eyes, meaning that Cassidy’s vision would have also gone dark if not for the images that began to form in the dark space.
A technique one could do while scrying was to allow more than just the other person to see through your eyes but also to let them see your imagination. This was something that not most people would do, as seeing into someone’s imagination had a chance to show some more subconscious images then what the person wasn't intending to show. It was something that only people who trusted each other with their subconscious thoughts would do. It wasn’t something one could force onto another. The person had to allow this kind of vision to happen. Callie and Cassidy trusted each other though, which allowed them to do this more invasive form of scrying.
Cassidy’s vision was filled with something akin to a glowing drawing as Callie used her imagination to construct a diagram. This was a drawing of a piece of land colored in a brown color and underneath it was a mass colored blue. The illustration started to move as the blue mass started popping through the brown.
“We’re cutting them off where they come up to try and redirect it,” Callie explained and as she did several of the protruding blue masses on the imagined drawing were cut off as they penetrated the brown land. “But it’s still growing just not up.” The blue mass under the brown land continued to expand horizontally not vertically. This process of the blue protruding upward, being stopped, and then growing outward instead, this process was repeated a few more times to illustrate the point.
“So what are you gonna do?” Cassidy’s vision filled back up with the tent as Callie opened her eyes again.
“Just keep at it,” Callie shrugged. “Keep going and get it to grow out instead of up cuz if it grows up it’s gonna do a ton of damage.”
“How much longer do you think it’ll take?”
“We dunno. No way to tell when this thing is gonna stop growing.” Cassidy looked on with a little concern. “But don’t try and get out of telling me about your day,” Callie said striking a stern, crossed arms posed. “I’m guessing me stepping out threw a big wrench in things.”
“Yeah,” Cassidy admitted. “But I think it’s taken care of for the most part.”
“Really?” Callie was curious. “Who’s filling in for me?”
“Jayna.”
“Oh yeah,” Callie said in thought. “I suppose she is about my size.”
“That was my thought, it why I brought it up.” Cassidy said proudly
“Well look at you,” Callie smirked. Cassidy giggled. “Well now she’s missing a flower girl right? That’s what Jayna was supposed to be.”
“Well Jayna really wasn’t ever going to fit that dress anyway,” Callie explained. “So she was always going to have to find someone else.”
“Well did she?” Cassidy shifted uncomfortably at the question.
“Uhh still working on it,” Cassidy stammered out. That wasn’t technically a lie, she was supposed to be looking for an actual relative to take her place. She wasn’t super keen on telling Callie that she was supposed to be the new flower girl, at least for the time being. It was embarrassing and not a sure thing yet. Not worth embarrassing herself all over again to her girlfriend at least in her mind.
“Well lemme see what the dresses looked like,” Callie said eagerly. That was something Cassidy could do. In addition to imagined things the advanced form of scrying allowed one to project memories to the other, though they were memories of that person and therefore not exactly accurate to real events, it would be accurate enough for Callie to see what the dresses looked like though.
This did still pose the risk of inserting some subconscious into what the person was projecting, and that’s what Cassidy was worried about. She doubted she could sort through the memories of the day without the ones of her in the flower girl dress and wetting herself coming out. She sighed in resignation because there also wasn’t a good reason to deny Callie her request unless she was hiding something and that would also give Callie enough information to get it out of Cassidy anyway.
Cassidy closed her eyes and brought up the memories of the day to the forefront and they all flashed in front of her like a in a living squirming collage. Of course a lot of these pictures were of Cassidy in the flower girl dress, and her standing in soaked panties over a puddle on the floor.
“Cassidy,” Callie said with concern.
“I know I know,” Cassidy said opening her eyes and stopping the memory vision. “I’m sorry I was just … embarrassed about it. I didn’t want you to know.”
“Babe I’m just worried,” Callie said with concern.
“I know I am too,” Cassidy said with concern. She shook it off though, literally shaking her head. “It’s just …. I don’t know it’s just a fluke.” Even as Cassidy said that she felt a twinge in her bladder, but, much like she was doing with the issue in genera, she chose to ignore its urgency.
“I don’t know, you’ve been having problems since we got there,” Callie argued.
“I just have to pay more attention to it more,” Cassidy said trying her best to move past the topic.
“And I thought you said she was still looking for a flower girl. It looks like it’s going to be you.”
“Well it’s not supposed to be,” Cassidy explained. “She said she was going to find someone else to do it. I'm just supposed to be filling in until then.”
“I don’t know that she’s going to be looking that hard,” Callie spoke regretfully.
“Yeah I know,” Cassidy sighed. “But I dunno it fit, and like if I didn’t do it everyone would be mad at me again.”
“Cassidy,” Callie said tenderly. “Look, to be honest with you I don’t think it’s a bad idea, but you shouldn’t let Brit pressure you into things just because you think it’ll make the family like you more.”
“You think it’s a good idea?” Cassidy said curiously.
“Well yeah,” Callie stammered a little embarrassed. “I mean it fits you so well, I think it would make the whole ceremony unique and, you know … you looked really cute in it.”
“Really?” Cassidy said with smirked shock.
“Yeah it looks adorable on you sweetie.”
“Thanks,” Cassidy blushed. “I was kinda embarrassed about it.”
“Why?” Callie spoke confidently. “You are cute as a button. Own it. Rock it.” Cassidy couldn’t help a giggle.
“Thanks. I feel a little better about it now.”
“Just do it because you want to, don’t let everyone like bully you into it you know.”
“Yeah I know, but now I’m not gonna deny you seeing me look, what did you say, cute as a button?” Callie stuck her tongue out and both of them broke out into giggles. “I miss you,” Cassidy said longingly.
“It’s only been a day,” Callie brushed the concern off, but she was met with a sad stare from Cassidy. “I know I miss you to, but we’ll see each other soon hopefully.”
Despite how much Cassidy really wanted to keep talking with her girlfriend the gentle nudge on her bladder at the start of the scrying was now an urgent need. She squirmed a little as a wave of needing to go washed through her.
“Gotta go?” Callie said noticing the telltale fidgeting.
“Yeah,” Cassidy said with a grimace. “I’m sorry babe I …”
“Don’t’ worry about it,” Callie said cutting Cassidy off. “We’ll talk more soon babe. Love you.”
“Love you too,” Cassidy said out of breathe. She quickly stopped the scrying spell so Callie wouldn’t see her struggle to hold in her bladder, and the struggle was very real. Surprisingly so to Cassidy. She had expected the sensation to stop so she could make a break for the restroom, but it just didn’t. It was a constant pressure that wasn’t letting up. With a wince she tried her best to move under the pressure. She didn’t think it was ever going to stop so her only option was to try and move with it. That plan turned out to be a bad one.
Cassidy had only barely made it to the hatch leading down to the room below that had the bathroom in it before she could hold it no longer. With a final twinge she felt a small stream trickle down her leg. A trickle that never stopped and eventually turned into a stream. Once again Cassidy couldn’t help but wet herself.
When she was finally done Cassidy once again stood over a puddle of her own making on the carpet. Her panties, pajama pants, and even part of her shirt was soaked. She anxiously got out of all of her clothes, in nothing but her bra. She needed to clean this up, ideally without anyone finding out. She felt like she was already one comment away from being made to wear diapers with the flower girl dress already. This would definitely put her over the edge.
She got dressed into some new dry clothes, setting the wet ones off to the side, and peeked down the hatch into the larger room. Thankfully no one was there. Cassidy acted quickly, making her way to the kitchen where she grabbed some cleaning supplies in the form of paper towels, and some disinfecting wipes. With her tools in tow Cassidy quickly made her way back to her room and got to work cleaning the rather large puddle in the carpet. This was going to take longer than Cassidy originally thought it would.
“Cas you ok?” Allyson’s voice came from the room below Cassidy’s. “I thought I heard something out here.” Cassidy groaned and peeked open the hatch to her room to talk with Allyson easier.
“I’m fine just spilled a drink,” Cassidy said coming up with a quick excuse.
“Oh well let me come up and help,” Allyson said innocently.
“No no don’t worry about it,” Cassidy said mildly panicked. “I got it.”
“Nonsense two sets of hands are better than one,” Allyson spoke in a forcefully cheery way. And without another thought Allyson opened the hatch to Cassidy’s room from the other side. The scene before her was pretty damning. The puddle was definitely too large to be from a spilled drink, and the pile of soaked clothes made it obvious what it was from. Allyson’s expression turned from helpful to stern as she gave Cassidy a serious look.
