AUTHORS NOTE: This first bonus chapter is an alternative epilogue that I was thinking of, that tied in more with the previous story, which is actually a sequel. Hope you enjoy

A tall blonde Biscotti woman was waiting with a small Red haired Miqo woman. The Biscotti in a casual and well-worn shirt and jeans, and the Miqo in a one-piece dark blue dress that fell a little above her knee. A solid, sleek, metal collar was round her neck with a distinct cloudy crystal, with a rune carved in, hanging from it. The two were clearly together and were waiting patiently by the wall of a large room in a museum. One that was closed off to the public specifically for them.

“I’m glad you could make it Cassidy,” a stocky human man in a similar dress to the Biscotti joined them. “Callie said you were great at runes, and we wanted an expert like you to take a look at what we found.” Callie couldn’t hide an excited smirk as she looked at her girlfriend, Cassidy returned with smirk with one of her own.

“Well, what did you two find out there in the narrow sea?” Cassidy said, her curiosity piqued. “I wouldn’t think anything there would require a rune expert, maybe a marine biologist.”

“Let her see Remy,” Callie said proudly.

With the press of a button of the wall, a large cover over the object in the center of the room was lifted into the roof by a mechanical winch, revealing the “head” of an ancient magical war machine. It was only part of the larger whole, but even broken apart like this, it was impressively intimidating. What was there was part of the front of the machine, a large circular command chamber, with a thin line of glass as the actual viewport, giving the whole thing the appearance of a large squinting eye. Even though this part was mostly just a command center, it still possessed several large guns, on slightly rotating turrets. Even though it had no doubt spent hundreds of years at the bottom of the ocean, the smoothed metal was only slightly marred by the algae and grim of the ocean.

“What am I looking at?” Cassidy said still not quite knowing what she was looking at.

“The great elven war machine,” Remy explained knowledgeably. “That marched across the Miqo lands during the second era.” Cassidy looked at the thing with a new perspective. The ancient war machine that conquered all her people so long ago, and that lead to lasting scars that her people still felt today. That mighty beast stood before her, now dead; beheaded, and left to rot at the bottom of the sea for hundreds of years.

“Remind me of my history here,” Cassidy pondered. “The elves made it all the way to the narrow sea with this thing?”

“They did,” Remy confirmed. “And in theory, it could have made it across the narrow sea, but it was bombarded by the artillery the Biscotti had set up. Though their fortifications were devasted, they successfully halted the Elven advance, and remained independent even after the slave rebellion that led to the third calamity and to today.”

“It’s a bit of a mystery,” Callie cut in. “How my people had such advanced weapons so long ago.” Callie shrugged. “But like Remy said, all the weapons were blown up and don’t do us much good anymore.”

“This thing though,” Cassidy approached the decapitated head. “Is right here.” She laid her hand on the smooth glass.”

“Presumably the other parts of it are out there too,” Callie added. “We haven’t found em yet though.” Cassidy smirked as she approached the dead machine and immediately used some magic to find where the runes powering it were. Callie smiled longingly setting her head on her hand as she watched Cassidy work. She was quick to get over the gravity of the thing, because she loved this stuff, and this was the holy grail or runic machinery.

Cassidy ripped off a metal panel using a bit of metal magic, exposing a rune underneath and bent over to look at it. Callie had the good sense to move in close behind her. Cassidy had gotten caught up in her excitement and forgot about the childish diaper hiding under her dress. Thankfully, Callie remembered and moved in to block any wayward glances by Remy.

Cassidy needed her diapers these days. The rune on her collar, one of her own design, would give her wife, owner, and mommy, Callie, the ability to take away her continence with a simple spell. It made for delightfully fun games between the two of them. Cassidy had gotten very used to the magical effect being left on though. Even when it was off, she wasn’t shy about using her diapers. Some days Cassidy’s little side was hard to see under the adult façade, but here, with her excitedly pulling away at this machine, it was on display, and Callie loved it.

“What do you see little sorceress?” Callie said encouragingly.

“It’s interesting,” Cassidy said with her head buried inside the panel still. She had found a large rune, and was examining it with a magical energy. “This machine is undoubtedly complicated, but the runes used are relatively simple, at least by modern standards,” Cassidy explained. “So much of the mechanical movement is driven by steam and hydraulics. All these runes are doing is simple fire, and water spells.”

“You’re saying these old elves have some bunk technology.”

“Not bunk just different,” Cassidy said digging through some more. “It’s a different mindset, and really it’s quite something.” Cassidy removed her head from the open panel. “If we were to make this thing today, we would probably end up using twice the magical crystals trying to drive all the mechanics with runes. There’s something to leaving that all up to analog movements.” Cassidy smiled with enthusiasm. Callie returned the smile, in a uniquely affectionate way. With a smile she tugged Cassidy’s dress down from where it had gotten caught in her diaper.

“So, you want to spend a few days looking it over?” Remy cut in. Cassidy blushed realizing how close she was to inadvertently flashing her diaper to this relative stranger. “Before we show it in the museum. We could use the write up. Provided you keep it relatively in one piece,” Remy kicked the panel Cassidy had torn off.

“Oh, I’d love to,” Cassidy eagerly leaned forward. Callie suppressed a giggle at the pose. If Cassidy were in one of her showier dresses her diaper would be peeking in the most adorable way.

“Told ya she’d be down for it,” Callie smiled confidently.

“We appreciate it,” Remy said with relief. “And we hope you’ll come back if we manage to find the rest of it.”

“Definitely, please let me know if you do,” Cassidy nodded. “I’ll have to come back tomorrow though; I didn’t bring a whole lot of tools with me.”

“Of course,” Remy said moving back to the button on the wall. “We’ve got the museum closed for the week, is that enough time for you?”

“Should be,” Cassidy nodded.

“Come on sweetie,” Callie used a pet name that was distinctly juvenile, but one that would pass as a typical grown-up pet name. Cassidy picked up on the tone though. “Let’s head home and get your things sorted.” Cassidy nodded. “See you tomorrow, Remy,” Callie waved and ushed Cassidy out by the small of her back.

As soon as they were safely away from the museum, and before they made it to the larger crowd of the street, Callie stopped Cassidy and gave her a knowing look. Cassidy returned the look with a knowing glance of her own, she knew what was about to happen and she was all about it. Callie dropped her backpack on the ground and opened it up fishing out a pink leather walking harness.

“So, what did you think of mommy’s latest find?” Callie turned Cassidy around, pulled the harness around her, and started strapping her in it.

“It’s impressive,” Cassidy said in awe.

“I could tell you were impressed,” Callie adjusted the straps of the harness. “You had that glow about you, and you kept showing off your diaper. You always do that when you’re excited.” Cassidy coughed with her blush. “Tight enough?” Callie asked running a finger under one of the straps of the harness.

“Yeah, it’s perfect mommy,” Cassidy answered.

“You know I was worried you might be a little …” Callie paused rummaging through her backpack some more.

“I was a bit put off at thirst,” Cassidy cut in lowly. “But, I mean, it’s dead right? It’s like a symbol of their fallen empire.” Cassidy was cut off with a pacifier being put in her mouth.

“Big words for a little girl,” Callie clipped the pacifier to Cassidy’s dress collar with a pink pacifier clip. Cassidy couldn’t help but smile when her pacifier was pushed in.

With the addition of a chest harness and pacifier clip, Cassidy’s adult passing outfit was now unmistakably childish. It helped that Cassidy was on the small side for Miqo, and thanks to beastkin's extended childhood, she did have the look of a child that might still need diapers and a harness. Well, she was the size of a child who was definitely a little too old to be needing those things, but secretly she liked that aspect.

Without missing a beat Callie lifted the front of Cassidy’s dress to get a good look at her diaper.

“Wow you were excited,” Callie smirked coyly.

“Not my fault,” Cassidy said defensively. “You had the collar on.”

“I most certainly did not,” Callie said pointedly. “You’re just that much of a baby. Even without your collar on you’re clearly need your diapers.”

“I don’t believe it,” Cassidy crossed her arms. “You had the collar on I know it.” Callie smirked and twirled her finger, a light blue magical energy shined from the tip of it: the activation spell. Now Cassidy’s collar was on and she felt the effects right away.

What once was probably just a need so minor her mind subconsciously ignored it, became thunderously loud. Perhaps even with that she could have resisted the call but in addition to her collar lowering her continence, Cassidy was also well trained. At the slightest urge of needing to go Cassidy almost robotically made a small squat and pushed a mess into the seat of her already soggy diaper. She blushed, not so much because she was now in a soiled diaper, that had become somewhat routine, but because Callie had so effectively proven herself right. She didn’t have the collar turned on; Cassidy’s small amount of continence was the only thing keeping her from filling her pants in the museum. Now that that was gone Cassidy felt the familiar feeling of needing a change, and the familiar flutter in her tummy knowing she wouldn’t be getting it until they got back home.

“Oh, I know what that look means,” Callie said knowingly. “Wanna keep arguing about if your collar was on or not.”

“No mommy,” Cassidy answered, thoroughly and pleasantly bested.

“Good girl,” Callie spoke the sweet words and Cassidy was never immune to those word's effects. “I gotta say though you are getting so good at just letting go. If I hadn’t been around you for so long there’s no way I would have been able to tell you were messing yourself, and you really were just wetting yourself without thinking about it without your collar on. Your mommy is very proud of your progress, and also very turned on.” Cassidy giggled euphorically.

“Thank you, mommy,” Cassidy said with a very a unique sense of pride. Because she was proud as weird as that was. She was slowly making herself dependent on diapers, dependent on her mommy, and that’s just what Callie wanted. So, Cassidy was proud. As backward as it was her growing diaper dependence made her feel incredibly attractive.

“We’ll have to get to home fast.” Callie said her intentions obvious.

“Not too fast though right,” Cassidy teased by pressing her diaper and the mess inside it against her. “It’s important for diaper training that I spend a good amount of time messy you know.”

“Who said anything about getting you out of that diaper,” Callie snickered. “You’ve got a mouth, don’t you?”

“Haaaa,” Cassidy exhaled suddenly. “All right calm down we gotta walk through town before we do any of that.”

“Right right,” Callie snapped back to their version of normalcy, clipping a lead onto Cassidy’s harness. Cassidy popped her pacifier in her mouth and got used to the unique style of walking she had to do when her diaper was messy. “Let’s hurry back dear.”
